Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice (CUSP) is an International biennial conference that has always been a knowledge sharing platform to all medicos, it has brought Paediatricians, Paediatric Cardiologists, Sonologists, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Radiologists in addition to those interested in Ultrasound together and make the most out of it. The first two days are for workshops, the next two-day conference, and all four days are for exhibitions, showcasing ultrasound equipment, clinical and social research projects, and other marketing exhibits like handlooms, artefacts, and jewellery. Main attention was given to the Fetal Care Research Foundation, a charity for supporting prenatal diagnosis for the underprivileged and enrolling obstetricians in the Birth Defects Registry of India.

We are thrilled to announce the XVIII Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice (CUSP) conference, scheduled from September 26th to September 29th, 2024 at the prestigious Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai. CUSP has established itself as an international platform dedicated to advancing knowledge and insight in the field of Clinical Ultrasonography and Fetal Medicine. This year, our theme "3Ds: Diagnosis - Determinants - Decisions" underscores the need for comprehensive understanding to improve patient care.

Join us for six enriching workshops covering a wide array of topics such as Point-of-Care Ultrasound in NICU, Know your ultrasound machines, Fetal GUT, Gynaec Ultrasound, Fetal Intervention, and Practical Genetics. The 2 conference days will focus on OBGYN ultrasound and Fetal Medicine .

We are honored to host eminent speakers both national and international, who will share their expertise and insights. We encourage you to share your experiences and research by submitting abstracts for oral and e-poster presentations, with exciting competitions and prizes awaiting the winners. Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice (CUSP) is an International biennial conference that has always been a knowledge sharing platform to all medicos, it has brought Paediatricians, Paediatric Cardiologists, Sonologists, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Radiologists in addition to those interested in Ultrasound together and make the most out of it. This year’s theme “Recharge, Reconnect, Refresh” of the unparalleled endeavours taken by the faculty who aim to deliver their expertise in a simpler and subtle way.

Day 1 will focus on workshops mingled with interactive scientific sessions, paving the way for youngsters to observe and practice, avail the experience to finetune their skills. This year’s Workshop is planned in such a way that it covers vital topics in Obstetrics & Gynaecology ultrasound, Skeletal Disorders, Maternal disorders affecting fetal health and 3D / 4D Ultrasound. While OBGYN Ultrasound, Fetal Medicine and Technological advances in USG would be covered during the next two conference days.

Faculty of National and International repute will be sharing their knowledge on their areas of expertise as well as to urge the need to bring out the best. Opportunities are open for delegates to submit their own projects through Abstracts. Delegates can also participate in the "Image Speaks" competition by submitting their best images in fetal ultrasound. Special prizes await the special achievers!

From Roots to Fruits

Medical science is dynamic, and it is essential for the doctor to become acquainted with the advances in medicine. Tremendous advances are taking place in the field of medical sciences, continuously changing the concepts, approaches to management and outcomes of several diseases. The rapid pace of these advances makes it mandatory for doctors to keep themselves updated so that they may apply this information to their practise and thus strengthen their competence and knowledge by keeping abreast with the latest developments in the field.Every two years, MediScan organises a national-level conference to innovate new technical practises in ultrasound that transform clinical assessment. The sixteenth Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice, CUSP 2018, was held between September 27th and 30th, 2018 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai. The theme of the conference is "FROM ROOTS TO FRUITS", implying a strong foundation is necessary for a sturdy structure.

The first two days are for workshops, the next two-day conference, and all four days are for exhibitions, showcasing ultrasound equipment, clinical and social research projects, and other marketing exhibits like handlooms, artefacts, and jewelry. Main attention was given to the Fetal Care Research Foundation, a charity for supporting prenatal diagnosis for the underprivileged and enrolling obstetricians in the Birth Defects Registry of India, which collects hospital-based data on the incidence of birth defects; Six international and 88 national faculty delivered their lectures and enriched the knowledge of 1006 delegates who took part in this knowledge sharing platform. One of the legends in ultrasound, Prof. Walfrido W. Sumpaico, has been felicitated during this conference.

The best prizes for poster and paper presentation were awarded to Dr. Kavithalakshmi K and Dr. Sumit Charmarya, respectively. The prize winners of the oral and poster presentation and quiz programme are as follows: Dr. Sindhu P for oral presentation and Dr. Arati Appinabhavi and Dr. Saritha Redishetty for poster presentation. Drs. Vaishali Dukle, Prasanna Roy, Ponmozhi G, Manjula B, Vaishali Vijay Deshmukh, and Kalpana Reddy for their contributions to the quiz program.

Major ultrasound machine vendors sponsored this event, and 37 small-scale companies were given stalls to exhibit their products.


CUSP 2016

Optimising Outcomes

To facilitate peer to peer networking of the sonologists’ community as well to exchange information and innovative ideas, to discuss the latest trends, technological breakthroughs and clinical information relevant to prenatal ultrasound diagnosis and genetics 15th biennial conference CUSP2016 was organized and heal by MediScan Systems. The theme of the event is “Optimising Outcomes” and the conference is as usual held in the spacious Nandambakkam Trade Center in Chennai. Eight international and 88 national faculty shared their knowledge with 995 attendees. The highlight of the conference is that sri. Mukund Joshi one of the legends of our country in Ultrasound is being fecilitated

Prizes for best poster /paper presentation were awarded to Dr Deepa R and Dr. Sumit Charmarya shared by Dr. Aarthi respectively.

The prize winners of the oral/poster presentation and quiz programme are as follows: - Dr. Madhura V. Joshi, Dr. Mansi for oral and Ms. Vaishnavi Reddy, Dr. Manjunath Vishwa for poster presentation. Dr. N. Lalitha, Dr. Sonia Neel, Dr. Anitha and Dr. Pooja Garg for quiz programme.

Major ultrasound equipment companies sponsored the event and exhibited their machines so that professionals can try out new equipment and experiment with innovative diagnostic techniques before adopting them in their own clinical practice. Fetal Care Research Foundation and Birth Defects Registry of India were given stall space besides 37 plus small companies displaying their products for sale.

This conference also got 6 credits from the Medical Council of India

Towards Achieving Excellence

MediScan organizes a national level conference every two years to innovate new technical practices that transform the clinical assessment through the sharing of knowledge and training next gen sonologists and technicians.

The Fourteenth Clinical Ultrasonography in Practice (CUSP 2014), a National level biennial conference with the theme “Towards Achieving Excellence” was held in Chennai between 25th to 28th September 2014. The venue was a spacious Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. 828 ultrasound professionals from across the country gathered to discuss issues, ideas and work together for best practice in ultrasound. The first two day workshops, next two day conference and all four days exhibition show casing ultrasound equipment, clinical and social research projects and other marketing exhibits like handloom, artefacts and jewelry. Main attention was given to Fetal Care Research Foundation, a charity for supporting prenatal diagnosis for the underprivileged and enrolling obstetricians to Birth Defects Registry of India which collects hospital based data on the incidence of birth defects

Five International and 61 National faculty delivered their lectures in this mentorship event and 828 delegates received knowledge and training that helped their career advancement. Prizes were given for best poster, paper and oral presentations. This huge ultrasound mela was sponsored by ultrasound equipment manufacturing companies and credited with 6 points by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council which is a stamp of success for the conference.
